As a family business we don’t really believe in set “packages” and we would rather work in a flexible manner and only charge for services that are needed and/or requested. Having said that we know that often the cost of a funeral for a loved one can be an added stress during an already difficult time, so we have created the below packages as examples of some options available. These packages have no hidden costs and are accurate total prices including all disbursements.

The Hesledon Funeral £3,672 which includes:

Our professional fee that covers all services necessary for the arranging of a funeral service, supporting you through the process and providing appropriate professional and personal advice
Conveyance of your loved one into our care and use of a private remembrance room in the Chapel of Rest *
Preparation, Presentation and Hygiene Treatment (including embalming if required)
Providing all appropriate staff for the funeral including Underbearers
A Standard Traditional Coffin
Provision of a Jaguar Hearse and 1 Jaguar Limousine
An officiated personal service within Durham Crematorium Chapel on an appropriate day and time arranged with the Next of Kin, with a Celebrant/Humanist/or Minister of your choice
Durham Crematorium Disbursement fee
Doctor’s fee
Officiant’s fee

Unattended (Direct) Cremation £2,425 which includes:

Our professional fee that covers all services necessary for the arranging of the funeral, supporting you through the process and providing appropriate professional and personal advice
Conveyance of your loved one to our Chapel of Rest *
Providing all appropriate staff for the funeral including Underbearers
A Simple Coffin
Provision of a Daimler Hearse to take your loved one to Durham Crematorium on a day and time chosen by the Crematorium for an unattended committal
Durham Crematorium Disbursement fee

Holy Trinity Church Service and Burial at Murton Cemetery £2,960 which includes:

Our professional fee that covers all services necessary for the arranging of a funeral service, supporting you through the process and providing appropriate professional and personal advice
Conveyance of your loved one into our care and use of a private remembrance room in the Chapel of Rest *
Preparation, Presentation and Hygiene Treatment (including embalming if required)
Providing all appropriate staff for the funeral including Underbearers
A Standard Traditional Coffin
Provision of a Jaguar Hearse
An officiated personal service at Holy Trinity Church, Murton followed by an internment at Murton Cemetery
Church and Minister fee
Cemetery Plot Purchase and Single depth Internment fee

*Please note when we refer to conveyance of your loved one to our Chapel of Rest, this is the same fee for every family within our local area. For example, we have never charged a family for out of hours removal if your loved one was to pass away during the night, on a weekend or bank holidays. We provide a 24 hour service 7 days a week and are always at the end of the phone. You cannot choose the time of your loved ones passing and we do not believe in the concept of “out of hours” charges.

We work with all of our families as individuals and provide a bespoke Service to best suit your needs. The examples used above are based on Durham Crematorium’s Fee however we of course are happy to arrange a funeral at any Crematorium you wish and we are able to help provide you with all the information needed to make informed decisions as to which would best suit your needs.

Additional services are also available and we would be happy to help arrange things such as a personalised Order of Service, Floral Tributes, Newspaper Press Notice, if appropriate for your needs. We are very proud of our fleet of vehicles but we are also able to help arrange more specialist vehicles if requested, for example Horse Drawn Hearse, Motorcycle Hearse, Land Rover Hearse etc.

We listen to you as individuals and create the service that is right for you and your loved one.
