John Geoffrey Lamb

John Geoffrey Lamb and Sheila Lamb have been married since 1975 and have ran the funeral service together after the business was handed down from Geoff’s parents in 1995. Geoff has worked in the family business for over 50 years, he is a vital part of the funeral service being the patriarch of the family overseeing all of its day to day running and he can usually be seen driving the hearse on each of our funerals ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Sheila Lamb

Sheila Lamb

Sheila Lamb is not only an owner and operator but also our main Funeral Arranger and liaises with every family that we have the privilege to support. She is a fountain of knowledge having worked in the family business for over 30 years, there is rarely a question she can’t answer off the top of her head. Although she openly admits that technology isn’t her forte.

John Kevin Lamb

John Kevin Lamb

Kevin Lamb has worked alongside his parents since leaving school in 1999 gaining experience in all aspects of the funeral service profession. He progressed the business’s vehicle hire work by developing good working relationships with other local funeral directors. This enabled them to update and enhance Lamb’s fleet of vehicles* to the high standard of Jaguars that they currently own. Kevin is our Funeral Director and conducts every funeral service at the age of 37 although he’s often told he looks too young.

Kevin Marley

Kevin Marley

For many years Lamb’s Funeral Service have employed a number of part time drivers to help keep up with the increasing demand of the vehicle hire work. Our latest full-time addition to the team is Kevin Marley, someone who has worked alongside us as a Driver since 2018 but began working as a full time Funeral Operative in March 2021. Kevin Marley previously worked as a support worker with adults with learning disabilities and is a born and bred Murton Lad so is fitting in with the team well.
